PT2

In the morning Stu and I woke up and we discussed what we would like to do today and we came up with the Idea to play some Halo III for a few hours and then go and explore the forest out back.  "I don't know about you Stu but I'm hungry want to go get some breakfast?"
"Sure, let's go find something to eat."
When we got up stairs to look in the cupboards Stu and I found only a small amount of cereal.  I took the Honeycomb cereal.
Stu I'm having this. What would you like?"
I'll go for the Special K."
I said ok and brought out two bowls from the cupboard behind us and took out the milk from the fridge.
"Want some milk with that?"
"Sure Alex."
"Here you go." I said as I passed Stu the milk.
After Stu was done with the milk I put it back into the fridge and we both went over to sit at the table and eat our cereal.  In-between bites we talked about what we wanted to do after.
"Hey, Alex, after we eat and get dressed would you like to go exploring the forest?"
"Sure, should be fun, in the years we have been here I never did go into them yet. I was sort of waiting for you to come over some time and we could both go. I always find it a lot more interesting to have someone with me when I go out for a walk."
"Yeah, I know Alex.  That's because you actually have someone to share the experience with and can talk about it."
"Yep, that defiantly does make it more interesting."
"So Stu, what's been going on in Markham since I was last there?"
"Nothing much.  They have the new Markham District Highschool built It does not look as cool as they said it would and according to my brother they did not even build the green wall or put the solar panels on."
"Wow that sucks!  They said that they would.  That green wall used to be on the top of the list of what they where going to build into the new school."
"Yeah I know, but they changed there minds.  Nothing we can do about it."
"No, I guess there isn't but still, I at least expected them to build the green wall."
"Yeah, I don't know what they where thinking. I guess they thought that it would save money or something."
"Well, I'm done eating, how about you?"
"Yep, I have had enough,. lets go get dressed and then head on out."
"Ok, I'll go get some water bottles that we can take with us first then I'll be down to get changed."
"Ok well see you In a bit."

After I was done getting some water bottles from the garage I headed on down and put on my camo shirt that I usually wear for going out into the woods (especially when up north with Mom and Dad every other weekend).  It was sort of sun bleached and were not the nice colour it started out as a few years back.  After I slipped on the shirt and my black pants I met Stu at the front door. We both headed out to the back around the fence, water bottles in hand.

"So, Alex, any chance that we might run into some wild life?"
"No, not really, there is a fox that lives back here but other than that, just some squirrels and chipmunks."
"Oh, ok, well at least there is a fox.  Maybe we will run into It."
"I hope not.  The one we have seen a few times is the size of a dog and that might not be good to meet up with.
"True, true, still be cool though."
"Yeah, I guess it would be.  Watch out for that branch Stu!"
"Wow! That was close! Did not even see it there."
"Yeah, you should be looking where your going and not just be focused on me."
"Ha, ha, you're probably right about that.  So Alex, what's new for you besides the basement being finished?  Did you finally get into the college course you where talking about?"
"Yeah I did, and we have a really good teacher named Jarry Newman.  He knows how to have fun.  Just yesterday one of other students said he looked like the guy from sell your gold for cash and he played along with that.  The kid did not even get into trouble.  I think his name was Graham."
"Cool! Sounds like you have a fun year to look forward to.  I love it when teachers know how to have fun like that and not take things personally."
"Yeah I know what you mean. Wait what's that?"
"What's what?"
"I thought I saw something shine in the sunlight.  I'm going to go check it out."  As I head on over to the object that was shining in the sunlight I notice it looked like a shard of some sort.  I picked it up noticing that it was silver and gold in colour.
"Hey, Stu come check this out!"
"Why, what is it??
"I don't know.  Looks like a shard of some sort."
"Let me see."
As I show Stu what it is, it starts to glow a little in my hands.

"That was cool Alex!  Any ideas on what made it glow like that just now?"
"Nope, never saw anything like it before. Let's head on home and show Mom what I found.  Can't hurt to bring it with us. You want to hold it?"
"Nah, you found it, you keep it Alex."
"Ok, I still wonder what it is Stu."
"Don't know, maybe your Mom does."
As we enter the house the shard starts glowing for a second again.
"Wonder why it does that Alex?  Maybe it's not a good idea to keep it."
"Nah, I doubt it's anything harmful.  Hey, Mom, we're home!  Come check out this funny shard Stu and I found."
"It was really just Alex that found it.  He just showed it to me is all."
"Let's head on into the kitchen.  I want to try and wash the dirt off of it."
"Ok, it's your shard you do what you want to do with it."
"I just want it to be clean is all."
"Umm why are the appliances glowing?  That's definitely not natural is it??
"No, I don't think it is.  The toaster, oven and fridge never do that.  Also, why are the lights glowing?  They are not even turned on are they?"
"I'll go check on the wall.  Umm nope, the lights are off. I don't like the looks of this."
"Yeah, and I think they're glowing even brighter now.  This can't be good."
"Hey Mom, you better come check this out! This is really freaky and messed up!
As the appliances and lights glow even brighter they start to generate electricity that starts glowing in and out of them and keep building up.
"Um, Alex, I think we better get out of here?"
"No, I want to see what happens.  If something Interesting happens I'm not going to miss it."
"Ok, suit yourself, but I'm going to be getting behind the counter in case this goes really bad."
"Ok Stu"
As the electricity continues to build up even more, a beam of light shoots out at me and launches me across the room and into the fish tank with a smash. Just as this happens Mom came running in to the kitchen.  She saw me go flying across the room.
"Alex!" My Mom screams. "Oh Alex, are you ok?"
"No, I just got flung across the room and into the wall so no, I'm not ok.  That really hurt, and I don't feel good.  I feel kind of funny, also my pants are wet!"
"Ha, ha, your pants are wet of coarse they are, you just smashed into the fish tank" Stu says while he continues laughing.  "Sorry man, it...it's just funny. What's happening to your hand? That's just not right."
"What?  What do you mean?" I look down and see my hand is turning silver and scales are growing out. "Um, Mom, what's happening to me?"
"I... I don't know, but I think those are lizard scales, I'm calling an ambulance."
As the scales continue to climb up my arm I say to my Mom, "Mom no, I don't think that's going to help and I don't think they would know what to do either.  Besides, you're a nurse, so if you don't know what to do, I don't think they would either.  By now the scales have climbed up and over my chest.  I get a pain in my back as I feel something growing out of the muscles between my shoulder blades.  
"Um, Mom..?"
"Yes Alex?"
"I think I'm growing wings, and I think I need to get this shirt off."
As I try to get my shirt off I notice my little finger and index fingers are now fused together with the fingers beside them and thickened.  As this happens I watch in disbelief as my finger nails turn into golden claws.  My wings continue to grow and become stronger while a golden membrane grows out of them.
"Mom, I think I know what's happening" I say, as pain erupts from my butt and a tail rips out of my pants.
"Alex I think it was the shard that's doing this to you" says Stu.
"What makes you say that?"
"Well, your scales seem to be the same colour as the shard for one, and secondly, I don't think that was just any ordinary shard.  I think that was a dragon TF shard!"
"Shoot, you mean I'm turning into a..?
"A dragon. Yes, I think that's exactly what's going on.  It's the only thing that explains all of this. Not only that but I think that you were destined for this."
As my neck thickens and lengthens, my voice deepens.  I say "What makes you think that Stu?"
"Well, you do or at least did, have a birth mark on your left index finger that to me looked like wings or something."
"Gahh!" I roar as my head also lengthens and thickens and changes shape and two golden horns erupt from the back of my skull.  Then pain starts to erupt all the way down my head to the tip of my tail as golden spikes start poking out and lengthening.  At the same time my tail grows a sword-like blade on the end of it.  That was the last thing I felt as I passed out from the sheer pain of it all.
