PT7
My sleep was a nightmare, I dreamed about the storm that Thock had created and the crash that was the aftermath of it. Then I dreamed about all the injured that I had seen from the crash and that's when I woke up with a start. That's when I noticed that I was completely sore all over my body. My wings, tail, legs, head, neck, and claws all hurt from the events of yesterday. I knew that the only reason I could still move around and fly yesterday was because of all the adrenalin that I had built up. Now that the immediate danger was gone and the adrenalin rush had ceased, I had to deal with these pains. It felt as if I was thrown against a concrete wall repeatedly and then had a car hit me.
"Ugh I... I don't feel to good" I said to myself as I hurled on the cave's floor.
I just wanted to rest and stay in the cave until I felt better but I knew the risk that RuCarNutz would be in if he met up with Thock. Now knowing that Thock had power over storms, which was completely new to my knowledge of him, made me fearful of him because I don't know what else Thock might be capable of. I hope that's his most powerful attack.
I decided to get up and try hunting for food. What's the worst that could happen, run into a bear? If that does happen, I can always just kill it and then eat it. Although, I would not like to run into Thock right now, being in my current physical condition. I had to admit I felt vulnerable and weak at the moment.
As I exited the cave I noticed that there where some rabbits running about. They would make a good appetizer but I also know they don't have much meat on them, so I simply ignored them and continued walking around on all fours.
After walking around for a while I found a bull moose grazing calmly in the woods. Now that was a surprise, even for me. This thing was just as tall as I was standing on all fours. This moose was big, at least 67 ft tall and must be around 8501580 pounds. That's when it all started
This massive moose suddenly decided to charge at me. All I could do and think at the moment was to try and dodge out of the way. Moving quickly hurt a lot to due to the stiffness in my muscles from the crash. I needed to end this thing fast otherwise I might not survive to see tomorrow. As the Moose turned around and started to charge at me again I built up some fire in my throat. I released the full blast of fire at this monster of a moose it landed dead-on but still the moose came. As it charged through the fire burnt but the moose never even paused, it just started looking even angrier than before if that was even possible. As it continued coming at me I tried dodging it again but I was too slow this time and it rammed into my back end and tail. I could hear 1 or 2 ribs crack as I was slammed into the side of a tree. Then, the moose decided to make a final charge at me to finish me off, as it came charging I waited there helplessly, or was I?
As this massive moose continued to come at me, at the very last second I jumped out of the way and that moose collided head first into the tree that I was leaning up against. Now that it was somewhat stunned, I turned around and sent a decisive strike with my claws straight at the moose's neck, snapping it. The moose just fell to the ground dead.
Now that the moose was dead I figured I might as well eat it so I prepared it just like I had with the deer the day before however I had to cook it even longer. Once I started eating it and had taken a few chunks out of it I noticed a black blur run past me in my peripheral vision. I instinctively thought it was Thock and remained quiet looking in the direction it went. It was heading straight for the cave and even though I was in bad shape I had to check it out. What if it was someone or something that could help me? I would not let this opportunity pass me by. I just prayed to God that this was not Thock or another ferial dragon.
As I approached the cave I yelled "Hello, who's there?" There was no immediate reply but I knew there was someone or something inside. I could just feel it and hear it's deep breathing as if it was scared and out of breath from running. Whatever it was it was definitely scared. After listening for a little while I did hear something but it was not a reply that I had expected it said simply and plainly as if it was talking to a friend, "Firedragon..." I knew instantly who it was even though I did not recognize the voice. I was relived that it was not Thock. It could only have been RuCarNutz, he was the only person who knew my DA username.
I rushed into the cave and saw a black 14' 8'' dragon that was heavily scarred. He had what appeared to be a 62' wing length with grey wing membranes. His chest plates where the same shade of gray as his wings and he also had what appeared to be a grey fur mane running down his neck to the tip of his tail. In total, I would have estimated him at 34' long from his snout to his tail. Not only that but he seemed to have some strange markings all over him. On his legs there appeared to be claw shaped grey marks and also along his back.
As I embraced this sight of a fierce looking dragon I could not help but notice his sorrowful crimson blue eyes. He seemed to almost be in tears and I did not know if it was from seeing me, the realization that he is now not the only dragon around or if it was from past events but somehow I figured that it might be a little bit of both. So, being me, I tried to comfort him by asking him what was wrong. I don't know why but I always like trying to help others in need. I have usually put others before myself in my life for I know it's what a Christian is supposed to do but sadly, over the years, these beliefs have been lost to most of mankind.
As I laid down and just listened to RuCarNutz carefully and thoughtfully, I realized just how hard his past few weeks had been and felt really sorry for his loss, also for what he had been through lately. He told me about a camping field trip he had in Australia where he met a strange lizard that turned him into what he is today. He found out recently that it was a dragon named Ictus who did this to him just for his own amusement. He told me about the car crash which occurred during an abduction by the American government which dropped him off in a cave under a ski run near Lake Tahoe. After that, he flew to Carson City and was taken in by some nice people. This was where he had sent me the letter from a few days ago. He also told me about the government burning down those people's kitchen to frame RuCarNutz and how the people left him with a note telling him to stay away from human society. After that he flew here to this cave. This really surprised me because RuCarNutz was here just a day ago with a researcher who came here once per month. Soon after that RuCarNutz told me that he was flying on his way to me at my home when he was shot down by some crazy hunters who where going to mount his head on their wall as some sort of freaky hunting trophy. This most of all left me bewildered and angry that some people would have the audacity to do something like that.
I was at a loss for words as to how to reply after all this news. I felt really bad for him. All I could think of to say was simply "Wow man, you have been through a lot of bad things one right after another, much worse than my own but I'll tell you about that tomorrow. I need to think further on what you just told me. I can't believe the garbage you had to go through. But I will tell you this, I'm going to help you any way I can. We will get you back to your parents some how, but I'm currently in no condition to go flying. I need a good night's sleep. Good night RuCarNutz"
"Oh, by the way, please call me Flame. It just sounds more fitting for us now that we have met in person. Flame is my dragon name. If you're wondering, my human name was Alex. Well again, good night and I hope you sleep well."
"Nice to meat you Flame, I'm Al by the way, Well good night to you too"
